Beverly Ann Schultz, born on April 27, 1935, in Alexandria, MN, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025. Beverly led a life characterized by her unwavering commitment to her family, community, and faith.
For over 60 years, Beverly embraced her role as a farmer's wife, diligently managing both household chores and actively contributing to the farm. Her dedication extended beyond the farm, as she held various esteemed positions within the Osakis Lutheran Ladies Aid and the Community Memorial Home Auxiliary. A cherished member of the community, Beverly spent more than 50 years helping the Osakis Lutheran Quilters, sharing her passion for sewing. She also served as the time keeper for the Trailblazer Saddle Club, exemplifying her love for fostering community spirit.
Beverly was a pioneer in bringing friends together, having initiated a neighborhood birthday club 50 years ago, which continues to celebrate the lives of many. Her educational journey culminated with her graduation from Osakis High School in 1953.
Beverly found joy in many hobbies; she was an avid crocheter who crafted numerous afghans and mittens for mission trips. She had a deep appreciation for nature, taking delight in feeding the birds and tending to her flowers. She enjoyed reading a good mystery book, playing cards, and the joy of riding her bike. For many years, she actively participated in the Friday Coffee League, showcasing her skills in bowling.
Among her proudest accomplishments was her marriage to Darrell Schultz on May 1, 1954, as they became the first couple wed in the Osakis Lutheran Church.
Beverly is survived by her son, Larry (Kelly) Schultz; daughters, Deborah Dowell and Peggy Vandevender; grandchildren, Jennie (Dan) Johnson, Pam (Eric) Nelson, Justin Schultz, Megan Schultz, Connor Schultz, and James Vandevender; great-grandchildren, Julia Johnson and Joshua Scepaniak; brother-in-law, Robert Haburn; sister-in-law, Lorraine Johnson; nephews, Mark Johnson, and Greg Johnson and niece Jodi Haburn.
She was predeceased by her parents, Chris and Jennie Christensen (mom), Leila Christensen (step mom); her husband, Darrell Schultz; sister, Betty Wilderman; sister-in-law, Lavonne Haburn; brother-in-law, Maurice Johnson; nephew Michael Haburn and niece, Julie Johnson.
Beverly’s kindness, dedication, and community spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
