Dorothy Mae Adensam, the daughter of Frank and Christina (Haefner) Bodanski, was born on November 2, 1933, in Osakis, MN. Dorothy grew up in Osakis where she graduated from high school in the class of 1951. Before turning 18, she met Nicholas Adensam at a dance near Osakis. Just after Dorothy’s 18th birthday, they were united in marriage on November 24, 1951, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osakis, MN. Four children were born to this union, Thomas, Nicholas, Michael, and Diane.
Dorothy raised her children and helped her husband on the farm near Carlos for many years. She tended to her gardens and raised chickens to sell the eggs for a little extra money. She loved to cook, bake, crotchet and embroider. Some of her family’s memories are Dorothy baking pies, caramel rolls, crocheting afghans, always patching holes in their clothes and cooking big holiday meals. Dorothy worked hard all of her life and loved her family dearly. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
