Dorothy Margaret (Williams) Maus was born on February 26, 1932, in West Union, Minnesota to John and Margaret Williams. She grew up on a farm in West Union Township and attended country school through the eighth grade. Dorothy graduated from Osakis High School in 1949. This is where she met Dale and they started going steady when they were seniors. After graduation Dorothy went to Minneapolis and worked at Northwestern Bank.
Dorothy and Dale were married August 9, 1952, (almost 70 years ago). They lived in Connecticut while Dale was in the Navy and Dorothy worked at an electronic manufacturer. They lived in Columbia Heights while Dale attended the University of Minnesota and moved to Fridley where they lived for 24 years, raising their 4 children. They moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1980, and retired in 1988. They spent summers in Minnesota and winters in Arizona. Dorothy was a good cook and family and friends will miss her homemade bread, rolls, potato salad and Christmas cookies. Dorothy was a loving mother, wife and friend and she will be greatly missed.
We send a special thank you to the dedicated people at Knute Nelson Hospice.
