LIFE HISTORY FOR JEANNE CLARK
Jeanne Clark, age 67 of Osakis passed away on Friday, November 9, 2007 at the Bethany Home in Alexandria where she was recovering from recent heart surgery.
Jeanne Winter was born on June 2, 1940 in Sauk Centre, MN to Oswald and Agnes (Nuessendorfer) Winter. She grew up in Sauk Centre and then moved to Osakis as a seventh-grader. She was married on June 2, 1956 in Osakis to Eugene "Junior" Clark. Jeanne worked providing day care for many children. She had cared for over one hundred children during her years of work. Jeanne truly had a love for children and the gifts to be a good caregiver. She was always the on-call babysitter for any family members or relatives that needed her.
Jeanne had many hobbies. She netted whitefish each fall with her husband and then cleaned, smoked and sold them to their many loyal customers. Jeanne liked to fish year round, trying her luck with cane poles for pan fish in the summer and then taking the snowmobiles out to go ice fishing during the winter months. There was never a shortage of fish at their house for feeding their family and share with neighbors and friends.
Another past time Jeanne enjoyed was going to garage sales. She liked to collect antiques, especially old oil lamps and always enjoyed watching for a good bargain. She kept busy at home gardening, crocheting, doing puzzle books and reading. She was a generous and kind-hearted mother, grandma and sister who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Sheila (Dennis) Horton of Alexandria, Nancy (Mark) Quistorff of West Union and Ronnie Clark of California; 2 grandchildren, Dustin and Kosha; brothers, John (Kathleen) Winter of Browerville and Jerome (Wendie) Winter of Alexandria; sisters, Delores Winter of Elbow Lake and Carol (David) Heinze of Belgrade; a sister-in-law, Diane Winter of Alexandria; many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Eugene who died in 2005 and a brother, Richard Winter.
Funeral services for Jeanne will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 1:00 pm at the Osakis Lutheran Church with Rev. Ron Calvert officiating. Scripture reader is Joe Heinze and music was provided by organist, Pat Converse and soloist, Dana Hetland. Interment will be at the Silver Creek Cemetery in West Union, MN.
