Lucille Beaty, age 81 of Lanark Village, FL and Osakis, MN went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.
Lucille Genevieve Carlson was born on May 9, 1926 in Clinton, MN to John and Margaret (Cooper) Carlson. She was united in marriage to Gordon Beaty in Huntsville, Alabama on June 25, 1942 while Gordon was in the service during WWII. They settled in Minneapolis after the war. In addition to raising her family, Lucille worked as an office manager for Kresge Company and then later for K Mart corporation. Upon retirement, the Beaty's moved to their summer home on Lake Osakis and then spent their winters in Lanark Village, Florida. She was a member of the Lanark Village Association and belonged to the Lanark Boat Club.
Lucille had many different interests and hobbies. She loved to be with her grandchildren, playing cards or going on outings. She enjoyed bowling, boating, gardening and playing golf. She also liked to try her luck at Bingo. Lucille was a loving mother, grandma and sister who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce & Sue Beaty of Chanhassen, MN, her son-in-law, Gary Mueller of Lanark Village, FL; 6 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; brother, William & Irene Carlson of Montrose, CA; a sister, MaryAnn & Jim Bovee of Morris, MN.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gordon in 1993; a daughter, Geraldine Mueller and a grandchild, Tyler.
Funeral services for Lucille will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 11:00 am at the Roy-Hetland Funeral Home Chapel in Osakis with Rev. Ron Calvert officiating. Interment is next to her husband at the Gordon Pleasant Hill Cemetery in rural Osakis. Casketbearers are Mark Backlund, Jeff Dise, Jim Erickson, Tom Iverson, Garrett Kelsey and JR (Eugene) Quaas. Honorary casketbearers are Bill Carlson, Gary Mueller, Bill Peterson and Vern Peterson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Chillas Hall of Lanark Village, FL
