Lyle Jones, age 63 died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at his home in Osakis, MN.

Lyle Albert Lee Jones entered the world on July 7, 1957 in Caruthersville, MO to parents Edward and Glendora (Palmiter) Jones.  After graduating from high school in Kane, PA, he began working for Con-Rail railroad and then later worked with Garris Construction. A natural with children, Lyle worked over ten years as a nanny.  He moved to Alexandria and married Lynnette Krog on May 12, 2001. Lyle worked locally for the Alexandria Burger King franchise. They moved to Osakis 10 plus years ago.

Some of Lyle’s hobbies included fishing, cheering for the Pittsburg Steelers, listening to his favorite rock bands and playing Monopoly.  Many hours were spent exploring various interests on his computer and he was a master at many different computer games.   He had a kind heart and a love for animals, especially his own pet dogs and cats.  His greatest joy was time spent with family, friends and grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife, Lynnette Jones of Osakis; daughters, Barbara (Jason Roers) Elshaug and Bonnie Haase, both of Alexandria; a son, Allan (Teresa Minshall) Dicke of Fergus Falls; 4 grandchildren, Trinity, Keith and Amanda Dicke, Toby Davenport; mother, Glendora Norbert of Mount Jewett, PA; sisters, Mildred Steudler and Sylvia (Rich) Adel, both of Kane, PA; brothers, Bruce Swanson of Mt. Jewett, PA and Carl (Farah) Swanson of Kane, PA and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his father, a brother, Clarence Parker and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Krog.

A celebration of life is being held at the Osakis Park on June 6th at 1:00
