LIFE HISTORY FOR MARTIN -
Martin was born in Long Prairie, MN to Marvin and Beatrice (Shouts) Jobe. He attended Osakis High School and then was honored to serve his country during the Vietnam War in the U S Airforce. He received an honorable discharge in 1972 after serving four years. He returned to his home and farmed near Clotho, MN. On June 30, 1979 he married the love of his life, Kathleen Rosch and they had two children together, Ryan and Heather. Martin worked at Drymore in Alexandria and then Larson Boatworks in Little Falls, all the while maintaining the farm. He raised beef and hogs and remembered the early days when they milked cows and used cream cans. He finally retired after years of hard work and sacrifice. Martin loved life in the country, he enjoyed working with the animals and being outdoors. Each season he gardened and everyone enjoyed his homemade sauerkraut. He loved to go out bull head fishing. His family meant everything and he adored his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
He is survived by his children, Ryan & Leslie Jobe and Heather & Devlin Marcyes, all of Long Prairie, MN; his grandkids, Abby and Kade Marcyes; a sister, Marlene & Bob Gustafson of Raymond, MN; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Martin will be welcomed home by his wife, Kathleen, his parents, Marvin and Bea and brothers, Elmer and Bill Jobe.
