Paul David Wruck

Paul David Wruck passed away on Monday, October 27th, 2025, in Osakis, MN at the young age of 46. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 3rd, 2025, at Osakis Lutheran Church with visitation two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Gordon Pleasant Hill Cemetery immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made directly to Jaelynn Bergs to help defer the cost of the funeral. 

In honor of Paul's favorite colors, please wear green, black, or white colored shirts with blue jeans or black pants.

Paul David Wruck, born on January 18th, 1979, to David and Renee (Geyer) Wruck, of Osakis, MN, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the age of 46.

Paul was known for his kind and gentle nature. Throughout his adult years, he held multiple jobs, but his favorite role was as a cook in various restaurants. He had great faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, which was a constant source of strength and comfort.

Above all else, Paul loved his daughter, Jaelynn, fiercely.

He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Paul often found great peace while fishing from the shoreline or the pier at Battle Point on Lake Osakis. He cherished the quiet time he spent deer hunting, whether with a bow and arrow or a gun, finding peace and quiet for his heart in nature.

Paul, Ben and Matt all played youth hockey while growing up in St. Cloud. When they moved to Osakis, there was no organized hockey to join, but there was a local skating rink where the Osakis kids would go to skate and play hockey. The other kids quickly learned of the skating and hockey skills of the Wruck brothers. The Wrucks were not allowed to play all on the same team and when two of them were on the same team, only one was allowed to play at a time.

Paul frequently told his mother that he believed his childhood and growing up in Osakis was like a fairytale. Growing up in a refurbished/repurposed dairy barn on the shores of Lake Osakis allowed for many things. The size of the barn allowed for many friends to come “hang out at the barn.” Friends would come and spend days and, for some, weeks living in the barn.

Paul is survived by his beloved daughter, Jaelynn Robin Marie Bergs; his mother and stepfather, Renee and Steve Jennings; his brothers, Ben Wruck and Matthew Wruck; and his grandmothers, Beverly Geyer and Joan Wruck. He also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, David Wruck; his sister, Abigail Jennings; his uncle Todd Geyer; and his grandfathers, Donald Geyer and Kenneth Wruck.
