LIFE HISTORY FOR RALPH TUCKER
Ralph Tucker, age 83 of Osakis died on January 31, 2008 at the Community Memorial Home in Osakis where he was a resident.
Ralph Roy Tucker was born on August 24, 1924 in Glydon, MN to Albert and Pearl (Phifer) Tucker. At the age of 11, he moved with the rest of his family to Osakis, MN where he attended school. On March 8, 1952, Ralph married Mollie Larsen in Park Rapids and spent the rest of his life in Osakis, except for the time when he was in the U.S. Army. He was a truck driver for the Burlington Northern Railroad for over 37 years.
Ralph was a lifetime member of the Alexandria VFW Post.
Some of Ralph's hobbies were doing carpentry and mechanic work, gardening, fishing and watching the MN Twins baseball team.
He is survived by his wife, Mollie Tucker of Osakis; sons, Danny Tucker of Osakis, Tommy (Marie) Tucker of Hancock; daughters, Judy, (Bob) Gearey of Hutchinson, Michele Lucero of Rio Rancho, NM, Ethel (Tom) Asleson of Fergus Falls and Lisa (Joel) Tucker of Browerville; stepchildren, Mark Fisher of Dover, OH and Vicki (Bob) Page of Grand Rapids, MI; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Hazelle Kelley of Bemidji, Elsie Sammons of Willmar, Jean Moe of Wadena and Darlene (Lloyd) Hendricks of Osakis; many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents, 3 brothers, Woodrow and Bill Chapman and Alfred Tucker; sisters, Edith Tucker, Jessie Engstrand, Faye Coughlin, Betty Robbens.
Funeral services were held for Ralph on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Roy-Hetland Funeral Home in Osakis with Rev. Mark Bateson officiating. Music was provided by Darlene Hendricks. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Honorary bearers are his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
