Rose Florence (Stoetzel) Kreemer was born on December 15, 1941, the daughter of Joseph and Clara (Feda) Stoetzel. The third of four children, Rose grew up on a farm near Miltona. She attended Miltona School District #55 and high school at Saint Francis Catholic School in Little Falls.
After high school she worked as a nurses’ aide at St. Williams in Parkers Prairie, then as a live-in caregiver for Anna Kreemer in rural Osakis, where she met her eventual husband, Lawrence Kreemer. The couple was married on October 11, 1969 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. To this union one daughter was born, Judy.
Rose loved to garden, make rosaries, and crochet afghans. She was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, and Daughters of Isabella. She belonged to several ladies’ groups. She had a kind, generous heart to help friends and neighbors.
Lawrence passed away in March of 1996. After his death, Rose worked at Galeon in Osakis as a housekeeper from 1996-2008 when she retired.
Rose suffered a stroke in 2021, which kept her mostly homebound. In 2023, she moved into Osakis Manor Apartments and in January of 2025 to the Galeon.
Rose died on Friday, February 13, 2026, from complications of Parkinsons disease. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Kreemer of Osakis; brothers: Clarence Stoetzel of Duluth, MN, Joseph Stoetzel of Belgrade, Montana, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; parents: Joseph & Clara; brother, David.
