LIFE HISTORY FOR TIM AUSTIN
Tim Austin, age 64 of Sauk Centre, formerly of Golden Valley, MN died unexpectedly early Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Knute-Nelson Memorial Home where he was recovering from a surgery.
On October 1, 1952 a son was born to Gunther and Marjorie (Nobles) Austin in Sauk Centre, MN. Tim grew up with his brother, Mark and attended Sauk Centre Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1971. He continued his education at Hamline University and graduated with a degree in English. His first job was with Honeywell, Inc. working in the alt-meter department. Next he was hired by the Golden Valley Transit Authority where he worked for many years. He then transferred to a position with the Hopkins School District in their Busing Department, specializing in handicap accessibility routes. He also was a driver for the Tri-Cap company. When he returned to live in Sauk Centre, Tim drove bus for the Alexandria School Dist. #206 until finally driving bus for the Sauk Centre Public Schools. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Samaritan in Sauk Centre, MN.
Tim was a voracious reader and enjoyed spending his evenings enthralled in his latest novel. He was a caring and loving son and brother who will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his father, Gunther Austin of Sauk Centre, MN and a brother, Mark Austin of Loretto, MN. Preceding him in death is his mother, Marjorie Austin in 2004.
Memorial services will be held in the spring.
