Tyler Ray Bjorstrom was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He passed unexpectedly on May 27, 2022. He is survived by his mother Vicki, sister Sarah (Warren), brother Jacob (Yuri), and nephews Alex and Josh. ~ Tyler will always be Vicki's baby boy. She loves him dearly. Tyler will always be in her heart, and she will miss him until the day they meet again. ~
Tyler was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father Larry.
Even though grandparents aren't supposed to pick favorites, his grandma Velma didn't care. She would pronounce loudly that Tyler was her favorite grandchild. Velma had dementia in her later years and Tyler was the only person she recognized. Velma would talk about Tyler constantly to the nursing staff and when he visited, she was happy as a kid on Christmas morning.
Tyler was loved deeply by so many family members and close friends. He was extremely smart and had a great sense of humor and a quick wit that would often go over people’s heads - unless you were sharp and paying attention! He had a natural talent for music and drawing, just like his dad.
Although he didn't have children of his own Tyler was great with kids and they were naturally drawn to his kind soul. Animals could also sense his kindness. If you were at a social gathering with Tyler, you could count on his lap being full either with kids or dogs.
We are so very proud of Tyler and all his accomplishments. He courageously fought an extremely difficult battle with bipolar depression and is at peace now sitting between his two heroes - dad and grandpa.
Tyler’s final heroic act was to donate his organs. We are thankful that his organ donation will bring happiness to other families.
