Nancy Hill, age 90 of Alexandria, formerly of Columbia Heights, passed away late Thursday, March 17, 2021 at her home in Alexandria, MN.
Nancy Mae VanCamp was born in Minneapolis, MN to Harold W. and Hazel (White) VanCamp on May 20, 1930. She graduated from Marshall High School in Minneapolis, MN. She would either work out of her own home or accommodate by giving lessons at their home. With an enormous amount of patience, kindness and gentle instruction, she helped her students blossom. Nancy was joyful to see them learn and appreciate the beauty of music. When they retired, the Hill’s moved to a home on Lake Irene near Alexandria, MN and were members of the Alexandria Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses.
Nancy had many additional talents and interests, including quilting and making afghans, sewing, dining out and attending card clubs. She was also happy just being home enjoying the beautiful sunsets or watching some sports, especially golf or baseball on television.
