Steven “Steve” John Schlosser was born November 28, 1959 in Parkers Prairie, MN to Alphonse and Magdeline (Buerskin) Schlosser. He attended and graduated from Jefferson High School in Alexandria, MN in 1978. Steve started his career as a machinist after high school working at Disney World in Florida, where he “loved working for that rat”. After a couple of years, he returned to Minnesota and started his family. He worked for several small machinist shops in the Alexandria area over the years. In 2001, Steve wanted a change of pace and began trucking. He finished his career as a machinist at Alexandria Industries.
Steve was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time in the woods hunting or on the lake fishing. He also enjoyed attending Saturday night races and helped out on pit crews over the years.
Steve died on Monday, October 4, 2021 at his home, at the age of 61 years. He is survived by his four children: Chad (Becky) Schlosser of Osakis, MN, Jennifer (Dustin) Schlosser of Osakis, Ryan Schlosser of San Diego, CA, and Cody (Crystal) Schlosser of Avon, MN; 8 grandchildren: Natalie, Savannah, Megan, Eli, Audrey, Patrick, Henry, and Luke; 12 siblings: Judy Schlosser, Ardyce (the late Harry Palmer), Arnold Schlosser, Susan (Don) Hargrove, James (Amy) Schlosser, Nancy (Al) Johnson, Clarence Schlosser, Lawrence Schlosser, Kristi (Rick) Ollig, Charles Schlosser, Cindy (Larry) Roers, and Mark (Tanya) Schlosser. Steve was preceded in death by his parents; sons: Adam and Stevie Schlosser; and brothers: Alan and Gerald Schlosser.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at the Roy-Hetland Funeral Home in Osakis, MN from 4:00-7:00 pm with a time of sharing at 6:30 pm.
